Jan 29, 2013 NR

Madras High Court tonight gave a verdict on the appeal filed by Kamal Haasan in connection with the ban imposed by Tamil Nadu Govt on his magnum opus Vishwaroopam.

After hearing about six hours of arguments by the advocates representing various stake holders involved in the case, justice Venkataraman, said that the Govt cannot interfere in the individual freedom of expression. He also observed that it is not proper for a government to stay a film that has already been censored and declared fit for releasing.

Now, the fans of the actor are expecting the film to release as soon as possible. In the meantime, the Govt advocate has said that they will appeal against the judgement in the Supreme Court.

Kamal Haasan has acted, directed and produced Vishwaroopam.
