Taapsee replaces Lakshmi Rai in Muni 3

Taapsee has been signed for Raghava Lawrence’s Muni 3, a sequel to his block buster Kanchana. The film is a bi-lingual in Tamil and Telugu and the shoot has commenced on ECR in Chennai.

It’s official that Lakshmi Rai, who was part of the Kanchana will not be there in Muni 3. Lakshmi Rai has cited that Muni 3 has a completely different storyline and cast and hence she will not be featured in the film. However, Lawrence who acted as the timid youngster will be there in Muni 3 as the protagonist.

Taapsee is thrilled at the new development and she says that the role is a very challenging one and has tremendous potential.
