Theatre owners will not release Vishwaroopam

Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association has decided not to screen Vishwaroopam. In a release sent to the media, they have stated that they will not support films that use DTH or any other technology to release the film before it is released in theatres.

Kamal Haasan’s move to have a DTH premiere for his Vishwaroopam has created a controversy and theatre owners have been opposing it since the same was announced.

The film stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Nassar, Sekar Kapur in important roles and the music scored by Shankar –Eshan-Loy trio is already a hit. The film is looking for a Pongal release in January 2013.
