Taylor Swift might be in 'The Giver'

Los Angeles, Sep 28 (IANS) Singer Taylor Swift has reportedly joined the cast of the movie adaptation of the novel "The Giver".

The cast of the film, produced by Weinstein Company and Walden Media, already includes Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Katie Holmes and Brendon Thwaites.

Swift was seen with Thwaites at the Toronto International Film Festival when one of the Weinstein brothers was heard saying to the actors - "See you in South Africa". South Africa is the location for the shooting of the film, reports Us Weekly magazine.

Swift has been seen before in "Valentine's Day" and also did a cameo role in TV series "New Girl".

Based on a children's novel by Lois Lowry, "The Giver" is slated to release Aug 15, 2014.
