Pawan Kalyan's wife turns producer

Pawan Kalyan’s wife Renu Desai will produce a Marathi film titled Mangalashtake Once More. The film stars Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve in the lead roles. The film’s shooting is going on in Pune. The film is about a couple who tries to save their dying relationship.

Renu Desai observes that while Marathi theatre has done considerably well, Marathi cinema has always taken a backseat and has been under the influence of Bollywood films.

As she was born and brought up in Pune she wanted her first independent production to be a Marathi film.
