Priyamani in Chennai Express?

Actress Nayanthara recently refused to do an item song in SRK starrer Chennai Express. The film is about SRK’s journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens on the way. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film has Deepika Padukone in the lead.

Now it is heard that the makers have approached Priyamani to do the song number in the film. Though Priyamani has confirmed that she has been approached for the song, she is yet to sign the dotted lines.

It seems the film makers are keen on getting a Southen diva on board as the movie. It has to be seen whether Priyamani will do the role or not?
