Thambi Ramaiah to direct his son Umapathy

Thambi Ramaiah, the National Award winning actor is known for his acting prowess. His son Umapathy recently made his debut through Adhagapattadhu Mahajanagalae which was met with a lukewarm response.

Now, Thambi Ramaiah has decided to direct his son for a film titled Ulagam Vilaikku Varugirathu. According to Ramaiah, “The story will be an intense, hard-hitting one told in a humorous fashion. It is inspired by real life incidents and is about a traditional family. Some of the incidents that happened to my family have helped shape this script”.

Thambi Ramaiah has earlier directed Manu Needhi and Indiralogathil Naa Azhagappan. The film will also star Samuthirakani, KS Ravikumar, Jayaprakash, Sumithra, Yogi Babu and Mottai Rajendran. Thambi Ramaiah will be playing Umapathy’s father in the film. Shooting is scheduled to commence from November 1, with the film expected to be ready for release in early 2018.
