The Oscar connection in Uttama Villain

The Ramesh Arvind directorial Kamal Haasan starrer Uttama Villain is all set to have its audio release on the 1st of March at Chennai. The film boasts of an ensemble cast in the form of Jayaram, Urvashi, Andrea, and Pooja Kumar in addition to the key man Kamal Haasan. Music is scored by Ghibran.

An interesting fact about the film has emerged recently. Uttama Villain has the Canadian Craig Mann in charge of sound mixing and he has incidentally won the Oscar award for Best Sound Mixing for the film Whiplash.

Congratulating Craig Mann on his Oscar award, Kamal says, “I had asked my sound designer Kunal to get me the best in sound mixing and he was the one who brought Craig on board.
