Three films at the New York Indian Film Festival

Three Tamil films have been selected for the New York Indian Film Festival 2017 and they are Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, Merku Thodarchi Malai and Sigai.


Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu is directed by Kaakka Muttai fame Manikandan’s assistant Suresh Sangaiah and features Vidharth and voice over artist Raveena Ravi who is making her debut as a heroine. The film will be screened as, “One Goat’s Mercy Petition.”


Vijay Sethupathi’s production venture Merku Thodarchi Malai has also been selected for the screening. The film, directed by Lenin Bharathi, has music by Ilayaraja. This film will be screened as “Western Ghats.” Kathir’s Sigai, directed by Jagadeesan Subu where he plays the role of an effeminate man, the poster of which has evoked a lot of curiosity.
