The cinematic reconstruction of the life of a police officer that Abrid Shine attempts in 'Action Hero Biju' is efficient to the core, and the craft elements on display exceptional. In Ranjith's 'Leela', the protagonist Kuttiyapan steers his jeep across a multi-tentacled wasteland that ravenously gorges on the very lives that thrive on it. Hope has almost become extinct, souls have long fled the flesh caverns that they dwelled in and angels lie dangling from electric lines. Teenage is '18 Till I Die' so sang pop giant Bryan Adams many years ago. Seeing the juveniles in 'Anandam' I get the feeling time is appropriate to bring that anthem back to the silver screen once and for all. Aan Mariya Kalippilaanu (MALAYALAM)
Sunny Wayne , Sara Arjun , Aju Varghese Leona Lishoy
Director: Midhun Manuel Thomas
Trailer |
Critic Rating:
User Rating:
Anne Mariya Kalippilanu: There is one inspired casting in Midhun Manuel Thomas's children's movie, which somehow prevents the whole affair from turning into a sheer travesty. It isn't the titular character 'Anne' played by the cute angel, Baby Sara. And nor is it Sunny Wayne, who's far from the brilliance which he showcased in his debut Second Show, but earnest nevertheless. Read Review
Oru Muthassi Gadha is not quite believable or transient as the standard Nanny Tale used to be once upon a time. But it would entertain you, most certainly and give a time pass viewing experience. Read Review

Critic Rating:
User Rating:
Chandra Sekhar Yeleti's 'Vismayam' should strike the right chord with the Telugu audience, while it's precisely this alien cultural setting that is likely to distance it from its other language viewers. It remains without saying however that 'Vismayam' is a film with oodles of good will and intentions behind it that partly get transacted on to the screen. Read Review
