Tovino Thomas the villain in Maari 2

Tovino Thomas, the Mollywood sensation is making his debut in Tamil through BR Vijayalakshmi’s Abhiyum Anuvum. Now he has signed his second film too in Tamil. He has been brought on board Dhanush’s Maari 2 which would be directed by Balaji Mohan.

Director Balaji Mohan took to his Twitter page to say, “First #Maari2 update! #Maari has a new nemesis. Happy to have @ttovino #TovinoThomas on board! One of the most fav characters I’ve written”. Producers Wunderbar Films also tweeted, “Happy to have @ttovino on board as the villain for #Maari2 :) Stay tuned for more updates on #Maari2”.

Tovino Thomas and Dhanush had known each other ever since Dhanush came on board as a producer for the Malayalam film Tharangam where Tovino plays the lead. The film is all set to release on the 29th September and is the maiden production venture of Dhanush in Mollywood.
