Trade Report: 'Baahubali 2' breaks all records

So finally the most-awaited movie of the year — ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, featuring Prabhas has released, and as predicted it’s already breaking records.


SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, which released in about 9000 screens worldwide, has become a phenomenon. On its opening day itself, the movie went on to record the highest collection of all time, not only in India but also in Hindi version by doing a business of Rs. 121 crore in India and a whopping Rs. 217 crore worldwide.


What’s more, ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ continued to rule the box-office on day two as well by earning about Rs 285 crore gross in India and Rs 382 crore gross at the box office world over. And going by the early trade reports the third day numbers are massive too.


Appreciating all the love, director SS Rajamouli wrote a heartfelt message to all his fans on twitter. He wrote, “It’s only natural that a big project like Baahubali faces hurdles during release. I must say that the enormous love and support that was given by Baahubali Fans made us cruise through the obstacles. Thank you everyone who have been with us for the past 5 years encouraging us at every turn. You have given us such a big success that we can keep it in our hearts for the rest of our lives.”


The film that released on April 28, stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Sathyaraj in lead roles.
