Udaya Studios to make a return

After a long gap of 30 years Udaya Studios is again returning to Malayalam film Industry. Udaya which was the production company owned by late Mr Boban Kunchacko, who was the father of actor Kunchacko Boban, was one of the prominent production houses in Malayalam industry.

Actor Kunchacko Boban himself announced the news during a function held in remembrance of Boban Kunchacko. Their last released movie was ‘Anaswara Ganangal’ released in 1984. After that they had many projects in the pipe line but nothing did materialize.

The banner will produce a movie within two years. The Boban Kunchacko Foundation will conduct short film festival from next year onwards. Many film and political personalities were present for the function.
