Varalaxmi joins Thiru-Karthik-Gautham Karthik team

We had earlier reported that director Thiru will be directing veteran actor Karthik and his son Gautham Karthik for a film that would be produced by Dhananjayan. Regina Cassandra has been signed on as the heroine and comedian Sathish will also be playing an important role in the film.

Now for the latest addition, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has also been signed on as another heroine. Informing this in his Twitter page, Dhananjayan tweeted, “Happy to welcome #Sakthi @varusarath to our team @dir_thiru #Karthik sir @Gautham_Karthik @ReginaCassandra @actorsathish ...Super Energy”.

Director Thiru confirms that Varalaxmi plays a very strong character in his film and that he wrote the character thinking of her in mind. He adds, “Varu has been my friend from the time I directed my first film, Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai. She is just like the character she plays in my film. The film will go on floors in November and I will be filming her portions first. The entire film will be shot in Chennai. Gautham plays a boxer; Regina plays a student who is quite focused on her life”
