Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in 'Velvet Nagaram'

Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will play a key role in the film “Velvet Nagaram,” directed by Manoj Kumar Natarajan. ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi unveiled the first look poster of the film on his Twitter page.

The film is touted to be a female-centric thriller and it’s bankrolled by Makers Studio. Achu Rajamani, son of the late music composer Rajamani, is already on board for the project as the music director. Bhagath Kumar cranks the camera.

Details of the cast are yet to be revealed. Varalaxmi has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Thalapathy Vijay's yet-untitled film with AR Murugadoss, which is being produced by Sun Pictures.

She will also be seen with Dhanush in the gangster film “Maari 2,” directed by Balaji Mohan.
