Varalaxmi Sarathkumar makes her Malayalam debut

Varalaxmi Sarathkuamr who made heads turn with her stupendous performance in Bala’s Tharai Thappattai will be making her Malayalam debut in a film that will have Mammootty as the lead and will be directed by Nitin Panikkar.

The excited actress took to Twitter to say, “Started my first Malayalam film..gettin to act with the legend himself Mamooty sir..thanks to my Dir Nitin panickar.”

According to the director, Varalaxmi’s character will be as important as that of Mamootty and that he chose her after having been impressed with her performance in Bala’s film. He also disclosed that Varu will not be playing the love interest of Mammootty. Tamil actor Sampath also has a prominent role in the film, which is still untitled. Shoot of the film is progressing in Kolar in Karnataka.
