Varalaxmi's next, a woman centric film

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who has been choosing content based films has opted to be directed by Priyadarshini, an associate of director Mysskin. This would be a woman-centric film that will see the Nibunan actress in the lead role. The film will be in a unique genre with elements of action, mystery, travel and thriller.

"Varalaxmi plays the protagonist, and she is involved in a cat-and-mouse game with the antagonist. Her character will be an action-oriented one and there will not be any romantic pair for her. The unit is in talks with a leading hero to play the role of the antagonist. The film will be set in Chennai and Pune, and also will address contemporary issues faced by women.

Balaji Ranga of Onaaiyum Aattukuttiyum fame will be the DoP. Talks are on with Sam CS to compose the music of the film. The film will go on floors by October 15.
