Varun Dhawan is on a roll. His much-awaited Judwaa 2 is about to release. Varun has already started prepping for Shoojit Sircar’s next ‘October’ and now we hear that the Dhawan boy is soon to even begin work for Yash Raj Film’s ‘Sui Dhaaga’, where he is going to share screen space with Anushka Sharma.

The film, which is scheduled to release next year has already got everyone curious because of its interesting casting. And while YRF is known to be tight-lipped about their upcoming films, it is heard that Varun will be seen in the role of a labourer in the film.

A source close to the development of the film said, “Varun plays a labourer, a hired help in the film. His look in the film will be in-sync with his character. The film hopes to raise awareness about indigenous cottage industries here in India and also talks about the dignity of labour."

Talking about the film, Varun had said, “From Gandhiji to Modiji, our leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With Sui Dhaaga, I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a way that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script that Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this one. Anushka and I are pairing up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks.”

The film is written and directed by Sharat Katariya of ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ fame and expected to go on the floors in October.
