Vineeth's arts club might not be the most perfect movie to have hit screens in recent times, but the pleasures that it offers you cannot be ignored. Vigorous enthusiasm is at war with skepticism here, and in this case, the former clearly wins.

Indeed it's refreshing that the film doesn't stick to a formula, but we can only wish for all efforts at creating exceptionality to bear fruit. Surfing through this turbulent sea of love could have been exciting, if only its sailors had paid more attention to the winds of reason.

Nallavan tries hard to be a romantic tale and isn't it distressing then that the romance is absent? There is no attempt to provide some fresh insight into a formulaic story and this is the reason why it ends up being a lot more banal and a lot less perceptive than its makers apparently assume it to be.
