Velaikkaran Chennai rights bagged by SPI cinemas

Director Mohan Raja’s directorial after the massive hot film Thani Oruvan is Velaikkaran which has Sivakarthikeyan as the hero. The film also marks the debut of Malayalam hero Fahadh Faasil into Kollywood.

The film which was supposed to release for the Dussehra weekend got pushed to the Christmas weekend of this year and is expected to release for the 22nd December. The film is yet to get completed but the Chennai rights of the film have been bagged by SPI cinemas. This was informed by the production House 24 AM studios who tweeted, “Happy to announce we @24AMSTUDIOS release our @Siva_Kartikeyan in @jayam_mohanraja’s #Velaikkaran in Chennai City through @SPIcinemas

Music is scored by Anirudh and the first track, Karuthavanlaam Galeejaam, has turned out to be a chartbuster with people sharing videos on social media of themselves dancing to the peppy tune.
