Vemal with a debutant

Actor Vemal is someone who shines well in rural based stories. He has films like Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Kalakalappu, Kalavani and the likes to his credit. His last film was Mapla Singam which did moderate business at the box office.

He is now a part of Mannar Vagera which is gearing up for a release soon. The film has an ensemble cast which includes Anandhi, Prabhu, Saranya Ponvannan, Robo Shankar, Singam Puli and many other actors.

Now, he has signed a new movie with debutant director Dharan. Although Mannar Vagera is completed 80%, a little is pending and the shooting is postponed due to recent Vardha storm. So, to make use of the available time, Vemal will be doing this new project which will be a quickie. It will be a thriller and he will start shooting from March. The team is planning to release the film in July. Currently, the team is working on finalizing the cast and crew for the film. Producer Singaravelan of Marina Pictures will be funding the project.
