Vijay Antony brings down teaser of Saithan

Vijay Antony ever since he turned as an actor has been having a good time as regards box office collections is concerned. He is also known for quirky titles for his films such as Pichaikaaran, Yeman and Saithan to name some.

Of these, he had released the teaser of Saithan a few days ago which had apparently earned the ire of a few Hindu groups as they feel the Sanskrit chants in the teaser were distorted and seemed to denigrate Hindu gods.

Responding to this, Vijay Antony issued a statement that read as, “I heard that a few lines in the teaser of Saithan, which were written by the late lyricist Annamalai, sounded like Sanskrit verses and that it has hurt a few individuals. Heeding to their request, I have decided to withdraw those lines immediately. As a result of this, you will not find the teaser of Saithan on my Facebook, YouTube or Twitter page.
