Vijay Antony in a cameo in Traffic Ramaswamy biopic

Music composer Vijay Antony after turning into an actor is a very busy man with many projects in hand. While he is doing Annadurai directed by G Srinivasan, he is also working in Kiruthiga Udhyanidhi’s Kaali.

The latest news is that he has been roped in to play himself, an actor in the upcoming film, a biopic of Traffic Ramasamy, a public interest litigator and social activist from Chennai. This film is directed by Vijay Vikram, a newbie and the movie has filmmaker SA Chandrasekar reprising on-screen Traffic Ramasamy. Actress Rohini will be seen portraying Ramasamy’s wife.

About the role of Vijay Antony, Vijay Vikram says, ““It is not a usual character in the film. I needed an actor for the particular extended cameo, as the message he conveys is important. That’s when Vijay Antony sir, came to my mind. I know him personally and he has been involved in many social deeds without making much noise. So, when I approached him for the special appearance, he was glad to come on board. He would appear at a crucial segment and raise his voice for a particular cause. Perhaps, his portions may come for about 10 minutes in the film. But they are power-packed.”
