Vijay requests Jayalalithaa's intervention

Actor Vijay who is concerned about the delay faced by Thalaivaa has requested the intervention of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Vijay in a press release has requested the Chief Minister to help release his film across Tamil Nadu.

Praising her welfare schemes such as free power, welfare schemes and laptop distribution, solving NLC crisis, he has mentioned that the CM is striving hard to make TN one of the best States in India.

It has to be recalled that Thalaivaa, which was schedules for releases on August 9 could not be released as theatres backed out citing bomb threat. Another issue that has been cited for the delay is that the state entertainment tax committee has not given tax exemption for the film.

Vijay in his statement also praised the fan club members and police officials for nabbing those behind pirated CDs of Thalaivaa and asked people to stay away from such illegal activities. Click the Movie button below for more info:
