Vijay Sethupathi likely to play baddie for Rajinikanth

Ever since its announcement, Karthik Subbaraj’s next film with Rajinikanth is helping the audience to be at an excited stage. The film is bankrolled by Sun Pictures Kalanidhi Maran.

If reliable sources from Kollywood are to be trusted, Karthik Subbaraj would be roping in Vijay Sethupathi as the villain opposite Rajinikanth in this project.

Karthik Subbaraj and Vijay Sethupathi share a great rapport and the actor has figured in all the three films of the director that have hit the screens, be it Pizza or Jigarthanda or Iraivi. And Vijay Sethupathi is also a big fan of the Superstar, and he’d love to play the antagonist. He has no apprehensions of doing a negative role because it has happened already with Sundarapandian and Vikram Vedha.

So, the actor is open to working with a long-time associate. The shoot of this yet-to-be-titled film, may begin post April after Kaala gets released.
