Vikram and Vijay support jallikattu

Protests to lift the ban on jallikattu is intensifying in Tamil Nadu with youngsters and film personalities extending their hand to the agitations in support of this sport. Chiyaan Vikram who is right now busy with Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram, has issued a press note which is as follows:

“I wish and hope that Tamil Nadu’s traditional sport Jallikattu continues to be held. I fully support everyone especially the students who have protested peacefully for Jallikattu. There is not even an iota of doubt on the success of this protest.”

Ilayathalapathy Vjay had also released a video, the excerpt from it states, “A government is created to preserve and safeguard people’s culture and rights, not to take them away. Jallikattu is Tamilian’s identity. I respect every youngster who has come forward to protest for Jallikattu without any political backing, without expecting any personal gains. I would be happy if PETA organization is sent back home."
