Vikram's next is a multilingual film Mahavir Karna

Vikram who is awaiting the release of Vijay Chander directorial Sketch for Pongal has signed a multilingual film Mahavir Karna to be directed by RS Vimal of Ennu Ninte Moideen fame.

Yesterday, on 7th January, Vikram made a surprise announcement on Instagram, Posting a picture, "A sun rises as the sun sets. Announcing 'Mahavir Karna', a Hindi magnum opus. Staring Chiyaan Vikram. Director RS Vimal. Producer United Film Kingdom, New York. #mahavirkarna," wrote Vikram. The film is to be made on a mammoth budget of Rs 300 crore. He will be playing the lead role in the epic fiction.

On his other projects, Vikram is completing 'Dhruva Natchathiram' with Gautham Menon and has begun shooting for 'Saamy Square' directed by Hari. Both of his films are expected to hit the screens within the first half of 2018.
