VIP2 begins with Rajinikanth's blessings

Velai Illa Pattadhari 2, the sequel of the hit film Velai Illa Pattadhari directed by cinematographer turned director Velraj began today, the 15th December with a customary Pooja. The event was attended by Rajinikanth, his wife Latha, his daughter director Soundarya, son-in-law Dhanush and others.

VIP2 has the story written by Dhanush and directed by his sister-in-law Soundarya Rajinikanth. The film is produced by Kalaipuli Thanu and will have music of Sean Roldan. Samuthirakani, Amala Paul and Hrishkesh will reprise their respective roles.

Rajinikanth began the proceedings by clapping the clapboard and later wished the team through his tweet that reads, “Wishing #Vip2 team all the very best ... god bless”. To this his son-in-law Dhanush replied with a, “What more can i ask?? #thanksthalaiva with all your blessings #vip2 kick starts from today. #raghuvaranisback.” VIP2 is produced by Thanu for V creations.
