Vishal and Gautham Menon on the untimely demise of Ashok Kumar

Ashok Kumar, a relative of producer/actor/director Sasikumar committed suicide in his Chennai residence recently. He also left a note that claimed to say that he is taking this extreme step because of the torturous activities of moneylender Anbuchezhian from Madurai.

Several film personalities have condemned the unscrupulous ways of the financier and Tamil Nadu Film Producer's Council President Vishal has voiced against financier-turned-producer Anbu Chezhian, In his social media page, he mentioned, "‪Wat Anbuchezhian has done in Ashok Kumar's case is very wrong. Absolutely not fair & totally condemn it.‬ ‪We are all here including me to pay back our loans. We are not going to run away. We will work hard and pay our loans. No more arm twisting.‬‪#Vishal‬".

Director Gautham Menon tweeted in Tamil, the translation of which is, “Ashok, I wish your death helps in containing a ruthless loan shark. But I wish you were alive to continue the fight against loan sharks”
