Vishal expelled from Producer Council

Producer cum hero Vishal, who is also the general secretary of the Nadigar Sangam, was expelled from the Tamil Film’s Producer Council (TFPC) albeit, temporarily. This was communicated to the press but not to Vishal who convened an urgent press meet to discuss the issue last evening, 14th November.

The TFPC had taken an interview of Vishal to Tamil weekly magazine last August, and had sought explanation from him regarding the same. The actor had criticized the council in his interview, mentioning that it was more interested in solving remuneration issues than piracy, and finding new avenues to augment revenue.

However Vishal claimed that the notice was not received by him and he was seeing only from his press friends. He also wondered if it was wrong to question things. He furthered that he would be fighting the Producer Council election too.
