Vishu films gearing up for release

On the occasion of Vishu, which falls on April 15, two major films are ready to hit screens. Fahadh Faasil starrer ‘Athiran’ and Mammootty’s ‘Madhura Raja’ will reach the cinemas on April 12.

Fahadh plays the role of a mental health professional in ‘Athiran’, which has Sai Pallavi as female lead. It’s helmed by debutant Vivek. Scenarist P. F. Mathew of ‘Ee.Ma.Yau’ fame has written the film, which was majorly shot in Ooty.

‘Madhura Raja’ is directed by Vysakh. It is the sequel to 2010-film ‘Pokkiri Raja’. Apart from Mammootty, the film features Jai, Mahima Nambiar, Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Nedumudi Venu and Salim Kumar among others.

Produced by Nelson Ipe, the flick has music composed by Gopi Sundar.
