What the award winners say?

The 62nd National Film awards were announced yesterday and Tamil cinema has bagged a total of eight awards in various categories.

From Jigarthanda team Bobby Simha and Vivek Harshan got the best award for Supporting actor and Editor respectively. Bobby Simha is very happy and says it was totally unexpected. He adds that the credit should go to the entire team. Vivek Harshan also echoes the same feel and dedicates his award to his guru Editor Anthony, his mother, friends and the Jigarthanda team.

On the other hand, Saivam team also won two awards, one for the Best Female Singer for Uthara Unnikrishnan, daughter of Carnatic and playback singer Unnikrishnan and the other for Best lyricist for Na.Muthukumar. The ten year old Uthara is very happy and says that her brother and mother hugged her. Na.Muthukumar, who wrote the song Azhgae Azhagu says that winning the award for the second time has increased his responsibilities to churn out the best.
