She’s forty and she’s looking sexier than ever! With no signs of aging, yummy mummy of Bollywood Kajol has her hands full with her two kids, a loving family and lots of social work and brand advertisements.


So, as the lady who loves her ‘me time’ as much she loves her dear ones begins another year, here are a few reasons why we love Kajol...




She made dusky beautiful!


When the industry was going gaga over fair and lovely beauties, Kajol climb up the box office charts despite a dusky complexion.


With just a couple of films in her name, she became the preferred choice of directors in no time and box office queen in no time.





She made a smooth switch


When other actresses were shouting that marriage could wait, Kajol took the plunge and married her love when she was at the peak of her career.


But marriage didn’t stop this power house of talent.


It was after marriage that Kajol gave hits like Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, Fanaa and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain to name a few.




Kids come first for her


Kajol never stopped working, she acted in critically acclaimed film My Name is Khan and We Are Family after she became a mom.


However, noteworthy thing here is that the mommy Kajol became pretty choosy about her work after becoming mommy.


For her kids are always priority and only a really good script could make her pick movies over career.




We Are Family


While other married actresses of her age would have conveniently chosen their privacy and space, Kajol preferred to stay with her husband Ajay Devgn’s family.


“Had my mother in-law not supported me, and taken care of my children, I wouldn't have been able to do anything,” says Kajol who considers his joint family as her support system.




She vouches for a good sense of humour


Those who know her in real life and even those who have seen her bursting out in laughter that reaches her eyes would know that Kajol loves humour.


In fact, this is what she said in an interview, “I take life with a pinch of salt... Having a sense of humour is important, and not taking life too seriously helps. It works for me.”




She found fitness when others forget it


It was after the birth of her second child, son Yug in 2010 that Kajol decided to gather the loose ends of her health and fitness.


Soon after her pregnancy, she lost as much as 16 kilograms of weight with a combination of exercise and diet.




She loves her ‘me-time’


We love the fact that Kajol doesn’t feel guilty of finding her ‘me-time’ whenever she needs to unwind.


“I am very insistent when I want it. I like to be with myself, to read, watch television, knit, work out, and do things I like.


I go to the room at times and shut the door.


I tell everyone, "I want out!" and I just go chill... And I ask them not to call me out unless the house is on fire,' she revealed in an interview.
