Actors Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg have reportedly been roped in by Paramount Pictures to star in the comedy film “Daddy’s Home”.

Ferrell and Wahlberg had previously teamed up successfully in the buddy-cop crime comedy “The Other Guys”.

Sean Anders (Horrible Bosses 2) will direct the screenplay written by Brian Burns (Blue Bloods, Entourage), with revision by Anders and John Morris, Chris Henchy, Adam McKay and Etan Cohen.

The film follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids.

The film is expected to go on the floors later this year.
