Yash Raj Films Tamil film gets going

Popular production banner in Bollywood, Yash Raj Films has ventured into south India by launching a bilingual film. The new film is a remake of their Hindi flick called Band Baaja Baaraat and the Tamil title of the film has been announced as Aaha Kalyanam.

The original starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma was a major success and set a trend in Hindi film industry. The production house wants to repeat their success with their debut venture in south India. They have Telugu hero Nani, who is also a known face in Tamil with films like Veppam and Naan Ee, as the main lead. Vaani Kapoor has been roped in to play the heroine. The film is being directed by debutant Gokul Krishna, who had worked with Vishnuvardhan.

The shoot of the film is being planned to start soon meanwhile the music recordings have started and is going on in full swing. Dharan Kumar of Poda Podi fame is the music director while S Lokanathan is handling the camera. It is said that the Telugu film is named as Pelli Chesi Choodu.
