'I thank Rahman and Vairamuthu for putting up with me for 25 years', Mani Ratnam

Director Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai had its audio launched yesterday, the 20th March at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. The event was attended by the music composer AR Rahman, the leads Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari, RJ Balaji, Suriya and others.


The normally reticent Mani Ratnam opened his heart out and delivered a warm speech that included his thanksgiving of AR Rahman, Vairamuthu and others.


He said, “A journey of 25 years with AR Rahman. It is like I met him yesterday, he still has the same smile which I saw in him years ago. To him, every film is an individual journey. He treats every film as his first film. Sometimes he does not give what I want. I asked him to compose a song for Bombay but he gave me a theme track. But once you I listened to the theme, I forgot everything else. I have to thank both AR Rahman and Vairamuthu for putting up with me for the past 25 years; please bear with me for a few more years” Click the Movie button below for more info:
