'We need better coordination and better planning,'Nagarjuna

Actor, producer and studio owner Nagarjuna seems to have learnt lessons from his Annapurna Films School! Teaching students about film production, Nag seems to have also learnt lessons on better planning and get the best out of it right from the scripting stage itself.

Nagarjuna mentioned in an interview, “There are so many factors that can go wrong. We need better co-ordination and better planning. The music director, director, lyric writer and choreographer must sit and talk things out during the scripting stage itself. That will clear up a lot of things.”He mentioned this in an interview to a Telugu daily on the topic of why films are not doing well in Tollywood.

He added, “If a film flops, there is no reason to blame viewers. It is the script issues and planning errors that contribute to the failure. For example, let us say there is a song shoot tomorrow. The music director sends the song today. Where is the time for the choreographer to think and come up with creative steps? The hero and the heroine come to the sets in whatever costume they want. The colours will not be in sync with the theme of the set. How will it look good?”

With an increasing number of films not doing well, Nagarjuna has a point and it is high time that the industry pay attention to it.
