'Aami' to go on floors on March 24th

Kamal’s ‘Aami’, a biopic based on poet and littérateur Madhavikutty, Kamala Das aka Kamala Surayya, will start rolling from March 24th. Manju Warier will essay the role of Madhavikutty in the movie.

Ottappalam is the main location for the first schedule shoot which will be for two weeks. The second schedule shoot will start after two weeks gap. This is for Manju Warier to have the necessary makeover to suit the character.

There were many controversies related to the project. Mumbai, Kolkata, and Ernakulam are the other main locations.
