Actor Gopalakrishnan of ‘Naadodigal' fame dies

Actor KKP Gopalakrishnan, who hogged the limelight with the film ‘Naadodigal’, passed away Wednesday morning at his residence in Kuppa Goundan Palayam on Erode-Chennimalai Road in Tamil Nadu.

He died of a massive heart attack. He was 54. The actor made his debut in Tamil films with the 2009 film ‘Naadodigal’, directed by Samuthirakani. In the film, he played the role of actress Ananya's father. He was known for character roles and timely comedy.

Later, he acted in several films, including ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam’, in which he acted along with Sivakarthikeyan. The actor was last seen in ‘Naadodigal 2’, which got released last Friday.
