New Delhi: The team of the forthcoming film "Airlift" -- which delves into the evacuation of Indians from Kuwait during the 1990 Iraq-Kuwait war -- paid a promotional visit to the office of airline company Air India, which played a crucial role in evacuating a record-breaking number of people during the war.

Actor Akshay Kumar with co-star Nimrat Kaur and "Airlift" director Raja Krishna Menon visited the Air India office and shared with officials the story and essence of their movie, which is releasing on Friday.

While the "Airlift" team posed with an "Art Collection" book of Air India, the airliner's CMD Ashwani Lohani gifted a memento of an Air India plane dummy to the stars.

According to the film's poster, the airline company had helped in evacuating 1,70,000 people through 488 flights during the war. Air India had even entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people evacuated by a civilian airliner with this feat.
