Umesh Shukla’s ‘102 Not Out’, featuring Amitabh Bachchan as a 102-year-old man and Rishi Kapoor as his 75-year-old son, just got all the more exciting than it already was by this bit of news that the versatile actors will sing together for the first time.

While Mr. Bachchan has recorded several songs for his film earlier, this will be the first time that Rishi Kapoor will croon for a song for the first time. Apparently, the idea of getting these two stellar actors to sing together came up when Rishi Kapoor visited music composers Salim-Sulaiman’s office to listen to two songs recorded for their film.

A source close to the development of the film said, “Rishi and Umesh recently visited composer duo Salim and Sulaiman's Juhu studio, where the actor heard two songs already recorded for the film. While brainstorming there, they came up with the idea of the two actors jamming for a fun song, but have yet to decide where to place it. The final call will be taken once Mr Bachchan is back from Maldives where he is bringing in his 75th birthday.”

‘102 Not Out’ is inspired by writer-director Saumya Joshi's Gujarati play by the same name and the two actors are collaborating after 26 years.
