‘Backpackers': Woes of cancer patients

The official teaser of writer-director Jayaraj’s upcoming film ‘Backpackers’ was launched on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran released the teaser through his Facebook page.

Actors Kalidas Jayaram and newbie Karthika Nair appear in the teaser and they play cancer patients in the film. The teaser shows Karthika Nair’s character Diya sharing her pain with the protagonist.

The film which was shot in a couple of hospitals in Kottayam and Thiruvalla, and also in Gavi, Wagamon and Varkala.

It has six songs written by Jayaraj and composed by Sachin Shankar. The film also features Renji Panicker, Shivajith Padmanabhan, Ullas Pandhalam and Sabita Jayaraj. Abinandhan Ramanujam cranks the camera while C.R. Sreejith handles editing.
