Bob Marley and Baburaj join for 'Nellikka'

‘Nellikka’ is set in the backdrop of Kozhikode and gives great importance to music. ‘Nellikka’ narrates the story of two generations of people from Kozhikode. One of the highlights of the movie is the picturization of the good old days of Kozhikode.

The movie tells the story of Haridasan, a member of the club who worshipped the music of Babukka and his son Balu who is an avid fan of Bob Marley; the love for music of two generations. Thus the two musicians who are poles apart join together in this movie which is like delicious salted mango.

Sashi Kumar plays Haridasan and ‘Thattathin Marayathu’ fame Deepak does the role of Balu. Bollywood actor Atul Kulkkarni is also seen in a prominent role. Sija Rose is the heroine.

‘Nellikka’ is the debut directorial venture of editor Bijith Bala. P R Arun is the scenarist. Cinematographer S Kumar’s son Kunjunni S Kumar wields the camera.
