Only a film can truly capture 26/11 grief: RGV

Mumbai, Jan 10 (IANS) The story of the Mumbai terror strike can best be told only through a feature film, says Ram Gopal Varma, who has directed "The Attacks of 26/11", based on the tragedy that took 166 lives.

"26/11 was the most tragic event in India, and more than candle marches and debates on TV, only a feature film can truly capture its grief," Varma posted on Twitter.

The filmmaker's movie aims to capture how 10 terrorists came to Mumbai and executed their plan of unleashing terror in key areas of the country's business capital.

Time and again, he has said the film has authentic facts about the incident.

In the movie, Varma has also included the execution of Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone terrorist who was caught alive and was hanged Nov 21, 2012.

"The Attacks of 26/11" features Nana Patekar and Sanjeev Jaiswal.
