Dhanush announces his second directorial

National Award winning actor Dhanush made his directorial debut with last year’s Pa Paandi featuring Raj Kiran and Prasanna that was well appreciated. Since the success of the film, people have been asking about his second directorial venture.

It was reported that producer Hema Rukmani of Thenandal Studios Limited (TSL) would be teaming up with Dhanush for a project. Later, it was also speculated that the actor himself would be directing the film, besides playing the lead.

Putting all the speculations to rest, Dhanush announced through his Twitter handle about this. He tweeted, “As speculated my next directorial venture will be with @ThenandalFilms #dd2. Will also be playing the lead actor..#d37 More updates in 2018! @Hemarukmani1 @MuraliRamasamy4 @aditi1231 #LookingForward!”. Looks like the film would go on floors from the middle of next year. The buzz is that the project is partially set in the pre-Independence era.
