Dhanush to the cause of farmers

The plight of farmers especially in Tamil Nadu is in a very sad state when the monsoons have also failed. There are many film celebrities who are helping the farmers in their own way and actor/producer/director Dhanush is no exception.

He donated an amount of Rs. 50,000 each to 125 farming families. He was accompanied by his wife Aishwarya Dhanush and parents, Mr and Mrs Kasthuri Raja.

This event took place yesterday at Sankarapuram, Theni, during Dhanush and his family's visit to their native temple. After taking help from director Subramaniam Siva, cinematographer Velraj and Dhanush Fans Club, the actor formed a team and decided to donate 50,000 each to 125 farmers, who are recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. This is surely a noble act that would be remembered by the farming community.
