‘Empuraan' to start rolling on Oct. 5

Mohanlal-starrer ‘Empuraan’ will go on the floors on October 5. Actor Prithviraj, who will be directing the flick, took to his social media page to make the announcement on Saturday. He also revealed that Lyca Productions, a noted production house in Tamil, will be venturing into Malayalam by associating with the production of the movie.

Prithviraj posted: “#L2E - Empuraan. It’s an honour for the ‘L’ team to welcome #LycaProductions to the Malayalam Cinema industry. Jointly produced by #AashirvadCinemas and #LycaProductions, the 2nd instalment of the #LUCIFER franchise starts rolling from 5th Oct 2023.”

‘Empuraan’ is the sequel to Mohanlal-starrer ‘Lucifer’, released in 2019. The film marked the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj, who also played a key role in the film. Written by Murali Gopy, the film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Films and Lyca Productions.

The film has cinematography by Sujith Vaassudev, music by Deepak Dev and action choreography by Stunt Silva. It will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. Click the Movie button below for more info:
