G V Prakash bats for Jallikattu

With Pongal just around the corner, musician-turned-actor GV Prakash has come out with a new single titled Kombu Vacha Singamda. Singer/lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj has penned the lyrics for the song. The proceeds raised through this will be used for struggling farmers’ families according to GV Prakash and Arunraja Kamaraj.

GV Prakash says Kombu Vacha Singamda is a motivational theme encouraging men to support our traditional and valorous sport of jallikattu. The beat is very local and most part of it is voice-based. The opening lines will be ‘Jallikattu idhu jallikattu, dhil irundha vandhu mallu kattu...

The single will be released on Pongal day and depending on its reception, the duo is planning to bring out a video version of the song. GV also adds that he has always been supportive of Jallikattu and when he met Arunraja Kamaraj, they came upon this idea.
