Here's why Sonakshi Sinha was replaced by Shraddha Kapoor in Haseena Parkar

Director Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming biographical crime drama – ‘Haseena Parkar’ – tracing the life of terrorist Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar, featuring Shraddha Kapoor definitely stands in the list of the most-awaited films of 2017.

However, not many know but Shraddha was not the first choice of the director for ‘Haseena Parkar’. In fact, Apoorva had roped in the ‘Dabangg’ girl Sonakshi Sinha for the title role in the film.

Apoorva confirmed the same during the trailer launch of the film. “We had first approached Sonakshi. Our shoot kept on getting postponed. She was doing ‘Force 2’ at that time and John was injured. Shraddha (Kapoor) was totally my second choice. I knew she could play a 17-year-old and a 45-year-old too,” said Apoorva.

Shraddha’s brother Siddhant Kapoor, who is also playing her onscreen brother in Haseena Parkar revealed, “I was cast with Sonakshi Sinha but she could not do the film so my sister came on board which was the best that happened to my life and my career. She has been working so hard to pull it off.”

Looking at the trailer of the film, one can be certain that this brother-sister duo are going to create quite a history at the box-office.
