It’s is a known fact that Bollywood often looks westward for inspirations and has frequently remade Hollywood films in Hindi. Seldom has Hollywood looked into our stories and adapted them on their screen. However, it looks like finally some of our work is inspiring them too.

It is learnt that Hrithik Roshan's ‘Kaabil’, which was released earlier this year, has caught fancy of American film studio 20th Century Fox and they have contacted Hrithik for procuring its remake right for a Hollywood film.

Confirming the news, ‘Kaabil’ director Sanjay Gupta said to a tabloid, “It’s true that Fox, through Tomas Jegeus has approached Hrithik. Even though the developments are too premature to talk about at this moment, it is an honour for the team. What is also exciting is that ‘Kaabil’ has been declared the best film of (the first half of) 2017 via an online poll. So, it’s a double win for us.”

Producer Rakesh Roshan, excitedly said, “The screenplay was hard-hitting, and the drama, gripping. It would make for a wonderful Hollywood adaptation, given that it has all the necessary emotions. It struck gold at the box-office because it was about a visually-impaired lover seeking revenge.”

‘Kaabil’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam, was a revenge drama based on a blind man who avenges the rape of her wife.
